Deborah A. Purcell
Deborah Purcell was born and raised in California, where she received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of California at Berkeley. In 1999, she graduated law school from the University of Denver, College of Law. She began her career in litigation at the law firm of Hall & Evans, in Denver, Colorado, where she gained a wide range of complex litigation experience in State and Federal courts. In late 2001, Ms. Purcell moved to Seattle and was admitted to the Washington State Bar. Before joining Bernard & Lindquist, Ms. Purcell worked as in-house counsel for Allstate Insurance Company, where she gained valuable information concerning the litigation of claims from the insurance company’s perspective. Deborah brings this knowledge of how insurance companies evaluate claims and litigate cases to Bernard & Lindquist, where she works to maximize recovery for injured victims. A fervent advocate for injured people, Ms. Purcell handles each case with compassion and persistence. Throughout her career, Ms. Purcell has helped hundreds of clients prevail at the trial court and arbitration levels. She enjoys presenting to jurors and arbitrators to win justice for her clients.
In the course of Ms. Purcell’s practice, she has litigated cases throughout the state of Washington, as well as the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. In course of her career, Ms. Purcell has helped injured victims obtain real justice in the areas of automobile collisions, premises liability, products liability and insurance bad faith.
Ms. Purcell is an active member of both the Washington State Trial Lawyers Association (WSTLA) and the Washington State Bar Association.
