Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) is recalling nearly one million cars in the United States over steering wheel badges that might fly off when airbags are deployed. Because these items can turn into projectiles, the firm stated, occupants can sustain serious injuries in the event of an accident.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, 925,239 vehicles are being recalled.
The firm added that at least 14 reports of injuries registered prior to the recall might be tied to the issue.
Impacted models include the 2008 through 2010 Chrysler Town & Country, the 2008 through 2010 Dodge Caravan, and the 2007 through 2011 Dodge Nitro.
