According to the reports, a 38-year-old man behind the wheel of a Ford Ranger pickup was heading toward Country Mercantile when his vehicle crossed the southbound lanes of Highway 395.

The pickup then hit a Honda Odyssey heading north, pushing it off the road. The impacted vehicle was carrying a 59-year-old man and a 58-year-old woman who were both sent to the hospital for treatment.
Authorities cited the pickup driver for negligent driving, news reports stated.
